December 23, 2022 - Hanukhah fifth day at the JC Zemun

Hanukkah was celebrated at our community.
Gifts were presented to our youngest members and acknowledgments to the representatives of the City Municipality Zemun.

December 09, 2022 - Brochure of the JCZ activities 2020-2022

Our new bilingual brochure of the JCZ activities from 2020 to 2022 (5780-5782) entitled "Recognized in Our City" has been published.
From the editor's introduction: "Our two-year brochure is dedicated to the work of the Jewish Community of Zemun was marked by recognition which we received from our city. Namely, the City Municipality of Zemun on the occasion of the Zemun Memorial Day, on November 5, did a great honour to the Jewish Community of Zemun, by awarding the president of the Jewish Community of Zemun with the highest award for special merits in the development of Municipality of Zemun and significant achievements in the field of culture, “Deserving Citizen of Zemun”. This high recognition belongs to all members of our community who supported all the projects that we have done for the benefit of our community and our Zemun during the past twenty years. Credit for the implementation of numerous projects also belongs to the management of the city municipality of Zemun, which has been regularly helping us for the past 10 years...."
We are grateful to the City Municipality of Zemun, which once again met us and financed the printing of this edition, which will be distributed free of charge to all interested parties.

November 5, 2022 - The City Municipality of Zemun presented us with an award

On the occasion of the Municipal Holiday, on November 5, a ceremonial session of the Zemun Municipality Assembly was held in the "Madlenianum" Opera and Theater. Public recognitions of the City Municipality of Zemun were presented at the session. The charter for civic merit with a medal - meritorious citizen of Zemun in the field of culture was presented to Nenad Fogel, president of the Jewish Municipality of Zemun in the field of culture.

September 25, 2022 - Celebration of the Jewish 5783-rd New Year

Members of our community gathered in our synagogue to mark the coming of the Jewish New Year.

As always, the most memorable thing was the pleasant socializing and warm atmosphere with the restaurant's rich menu.

September 18, 2022 – „Two Synagogues of Zemun“ - promotion

In the presence of numerous guests and officials of the City Municipality of Zemun, the exhibition was opened and the promotion of the book "Two Synagogues of Zemun" was held. The immediate reason for us to deal with the history of our two synagogues, of which the Sephardic one no longer exists, was the final judgment of the Appellate Court, according to which we once again became the owners of the Ashkenazi synagogue.

As a gift from the Jewish Community Zemun, all those present, who wanted it, received a free copy of the book.

AT the Zemun Gymnasium the promotion of the "Collection of Articles" from the Conference of the Jewish Camp Zemun and the Reception Camp Zemun - Past-Present-Future" was held, which was held from 18 to 19 September 2021 in Zemun.
