Dear friends For several years we are intensively working to fully revive our community. We partially put in order our premises (renewed furniture, repaired floors and basement) in order to be more suitable for our daily activities and socializing. Now our activities are performed in more pleasant atmosphere. We are faced, however with a serious problem: how to maintain quality of our work, all because of banal reason such is financing. In our case money is not a motion factor, but unfortunately is a restricting one. Numerous activities that were initiated are now at hold, waiting for better times.
Our members are regular in settling their membership fees but that is not enough to cover vast expenses related to the maintenance of our properties, community building and renewing of monuments at our cemetery, especially in cases where there are no living descendants to take care about it.
Thanks to the support from the Federation of Jewish Communities, various government institutions, major corporations and foreign donators we are managing to achieve enviable results in the field of religious and cultural activities. The results would be even better if we could solve financing problem permanently. Until we find ways to permanently solve our monetary needs the only thing left to us is to hope that there are people of good will who would be ready to set certain funds aside for our work. As for now, our idea is to channel your donations directly to several projects so you can always be sure that your funds will go exactly to the activity you wish to support.
