Breaking the Arab Monopoly at the UN

A few weeks ago, our historic exhibition opened at UNESCO headquarters in Paris before a standing-room-only crowd.

The groundbreaking exhibit, People, Book, Land – the 3,500-year relationship between the Jewish People and the Holy Land is “an epic, moving story which shows the uninterrupted presence of Jews in the land of Israel for over three millennium” - writes exhibit author, Hebrew University Jewish History Professor, Dr. Robert Wistrich, in The Jerusalem Post (read full op/ed, "An Unshakeable Bond").

“Given the UN’s long record of anti-Israel actions, I was initially rather skeptical that such an exhibition on the Jewish people’s connection to the Land of Israel could ever be implemented by a UN organization,” wrote Professor Wistrich.

Today, if we want to stop the new “Big Lie”, that the Jewish people are intruders in their own land, we must bring the compelling true narrative about the 3,500-year relationship of the Jewish people with the land of Israel to millions of people, across North America and to capitals across the globe.
With your help, that is exactly what our new exhibit will do. We must send this important exhibition, which has both the Center’s and UNESCO’s logos attached to it, to parliaments, city centers and universities around the world, exposing more of the world’s leaders, media,and especially students to the true history of the Jewish people and the Holy Land.

People, Book, Land is a powerful resource to use against those who deny the Jewish people's unshakable bond to their homeland. This exhibit is an interactive experience, with archival images culled by our researchers in the Middle East and our own Moriah Films division.

As I said at the exhibition’s historic opening, “This exhibit opens at a critical stage in the efforts to bring a just and viable peace to the Middle East, especially the people of Israel and the Palestinian people. But such a peace can only come when Israel’s neighbors finally end their campaign to deny the Jewish people its national identity. No one can bypass this obstacle by pretending it doesn’t exist. Peace is not a game like Monopoly where you can skip the inconvenient and proceed directly to Go.”
